Description

As coronavirus cases continue to rise in the US and across the globe, it is essential for everyone to take active steps in protecting themselves and their loved ones from airborne pathogens that can threaten their health. In addition to washing your hands frequently and practicing good respiratory hygiene, you may consider wearing the N95 Particulate Respirator which blocks up to 95% of airborne particles.

Unlike common loosely fitting procedure masks that only filter large droplets and allow for particle leaks in and out of the sides, the N95 Respirator is designed with small pores and forms a tight seal around your nose and mouth, offering far greater protection. It’s disposable, lightweight, and blocks particles as small as 0.3 microns in size. Finally, it contains an electrostatic microfiber filter intended to help ease breathing.

How you wear and remove the N95 respirator is important, and by following these basic steps and guidelines you can reduce your risk and help protect others:

Wash your hands thoroughly before putting on the respirator.
Cup the respirator in one hand placing it over your mouth and nose (touching only the outside and edges).
Pull the bottom strap over your head to fasten it around your neck then pull the top strap and place it over your ears.
Use your fingertips to shape the nose piece along the bridge of your nose.
Do not move the respirator around often to not break the barrier intended by it.
When removing the respirator remove the strap from behind and avoid touching the front.
Do not wear the respirator for longer than eight hours a day to ensure it’s still functioning properly.
