Description

Description

Probiotic Pearls were developed to help maintain a healthy balance of beneficial bacteria the body needs, supporting digestive function and providing immune support.

Normal bowel microflora, such as Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria species, support healthy gastrointestinal function through numerous mechanisms.
  1. Everyday factors such as poor diet, stress, and travel can disrupt healthy intestinal microflora, contributing to digestive upset and irregularity.
  2. In order for a probiotic supplement to be effective, it must utilize a delivery form that protects the live, active cultures from a wide array of damaging, ever present environmental factors.
  3. Probiotic Pearls accomplish this with a novel encapsulating process, known as True Delivery™ Technology. This triple-layer coating system results in a convenient, one-of-a-kind delivery form that protects the vulnerable probiotics within from heat, moisture, oxygen, and stomach acid.

FAQ

Q. Why does Probiotic Pearls™ contain two strains of probiotics?
A. Acidophilus Pearls™ provides Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum, two probiotic bacteria with the greatest amount of research and clinical support. In fact, over 75 years of published research has shown that beneficial bacteria in general, (and Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum in particular) are the most effective in maintaining a healthy balance of intestinal flora every day.*

Q. What is the source of the gelatin in Probiotic Pearls™?
A. The gelatin in Probiotic Pearls™ is derived from fish (tilapia).

Q. Is it okay to take more than the recommended dose of Probiotic Pearls™?
A. Recent research on probiotics has suggested that many people can take daily dosages in amounts far in excess of the 1 billion CFU per day delivered by Probiotic Pearls™. While the optimal daily dose is unknown and may vary from person to person, studies have looked at doses as high as 100-200 billion cfu/day. It is always a good idea to confer with your health care professional when deciding what daily dose of probiotics may be optimal for you.

Q. Does it matter when I take Probiotic Pearls™?
A. Take them with meals, between meals, or whenever it is easiest for you to remember.

Q. Is the palm oil in Probiotic Pearls™ sustainably harvested?
A. Integrative Therapeutics is committed to stewardship and sustainability in the service of positive social and environmental outcomes. The fact that Enzymatic Therapy does not purchase wild harvest and strives to cultivate sustainable vendor relationships are two examples of this commitment. We have and continue to implement procedures company-wide to improve our efficiency and in turn, reduce our carbon footprint. Palm oil is an important ingredient in Probiotic Pearls™ and plays an crucial role in the True Delivery™ Technology. Put in perspective, the amount of palm oil found in Probiotic Pearls™ is very small – far less than the amount found in one commercially manufactured cookie. The level is insignificant and when compared to other uses of palm oil, doesn’t have a substantial impact on the palm oil supply and subsequently on deforestation.

Q. Should individuals with fish allergies take the Pearls™ products that contain gelatin from Tilapia?
A. Individuals with fish allergies should not take Pearls™ products with gelatin from Tilapia.
